I give thanks for life.
I give thanks for the manufacturer of the leash that allowed the puppy to be walked.
I give thanks for the manufacturer of the hose that allows me to water plants on the deck these hot days.
I give thanks for the chance to watch grandchildren enjoy pony rides.
I give thanks for men who worked with the ponies and children in an endless job of lifting children onto the ponies and taking them off.
I give thanks for a beach where children can play in the sand and jump in the waves.
I give thanks for the conductor of the train in Griffith Park.
I give thanks for the designer of carousel animals.
I give thanks for the publisher who is working hard to get my book ready for the spring catalog.
I give thanks for the graphic designer who is working to put together a cover in a short time.
I give thanks for the telephone that allows me to talk with my family.
I give thanks for the doctors and nurses who are taking care of my nephew as he works to regain his health.
. . . and much more.

I give thanks for life.
I give thanks for the sound of water bubbling in the small fountain of half an old wine casket on my deck.
I give thinks to my daughter-in-law for sending pictures of a grandchild I haven't met.
. . . and much more.
