Introduction to Find Inspiration
Discover the Joy of Inspiration and Intuition Every Day
As I note in the motto at the top of each page, this site is devoted to helping you enrich your life and thereby enrich your relationships. To do that takes a willingness to expand your horizons and reach deep inside to find the inspiration and resources you need.
Of course, it is easy to experience inspiration and beauty when watching the setting sun, as this picture from Australia illustrates. However, you can also find a thousand opportunities in less spectacular settings if you decide to consciously draw every ounce of enjoyment out of every day.
Here is an example of how that might happen. Imagine you are walking past a park with children on the swings. In the back of your mind you remember a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson called "The Swing."
How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside —
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown —
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!
Now take a moment to let the images of the poem fill you with memories of times you have been on a swing and have let your imagination fly along with you. Notice how your body and mind are lifted because you remembered that time when you were free.
What I suggest in the articles and features in this section is that you find inspiration by consciously seeing the world in a new light. After all, that’s what inspiration is; seeing things in a new light.
Below are the categories in this section and one feature or article from each of them that illustrates what you will find there. The navigation bar on the left has more than twenty links to features than can lighten your day.
