Note: To find out more about how these sites were chosen, please read How We Select Our Resources. Also, many sites listed on our General Mental Health issues page are extremely large, and contain information on many different issues. Please be sure to check out those sites as well.

Internet Mental Health

http://www.mentalhealth.com/dis/p20-an05.html

Website provides information on treatment, diagnosis, and booklets on and about OCD.

Obsessive Compulsive Foundation

http://www.ocfoundation.org/

This excellent website is chok-full of information on obsessive compulsive disorder. They define OCD by saying it "is a neurobiological disorder defined by recurrent, unwelcome thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behavior (compulsions) that OCD sufferers feel driven to perform.  People with OCD know their obsessions and compulsions are irrational or excessive, yet they have little or not control over them."
