Having a personal coach is all the rage these days. You're told that with a coach you can "produce fulfilling results in your personal and professional life." A coach will "provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity" that you already have. A coach will "elicit solutions and strategies" to "enhance the quality of your life."
There is much to be said for having someone encourage and prod you to be your very best. However, not everyone can afford to hire a coach. Not all coaches are as good as they're advertised. And not everyone needs a coach, especially if they know what a coach will ask of them and are willing to do those things on their own.
